In a foresty area of 15000m2, close to the beatiful town of Perdika, there is a special park operating as a wild animal shelter.
The park begins from the monastery of Ai-Thanasis and includes a large part of the river Paramithiotis with small kiosks along the trail.
The park has four dams for rearing fish and other aquatic organisms and birds. The main path is walkable and about one kilometer in length without any major uphills, leading to a bridge 1000 years old. For those who seek tougher routes, there are slopes with wooden steps constructed with tree logs.
